Girls' Fun: Cast List - Chris

Here’s what I wrote about Chris, in the cast list I kept at the back of the diary...
Chris is Matthew’s friend. About a fortnight before Matthew asked me out, Chris did. But I only liked him as a friend, and anyway he’s only 13 and v. immature! (Matthew is 15: B’day Jan 10th: he’s 6 months younger than me: Capricorn)
[Editor’s note] Chris was the nicest of the lot. He was a great soft cuddly bear. I should have gone out with him.

Ok, you have got me thinking here. Was that Chris Hill, who went to Youth Theatre yorkshire and whose mum was a dinner lady? He also wore a Boy George hat? If it was, I went out with him and snogged him a few times. I also sent him the lyrics to Lionel Richie's Hello. I decided that he was too young for me, but thinking back, he was one of the nicest men i have ever known. His mum didn't like me, I remember.
Yes, it's the very same Chris. Wasn't he lovely?
A lot of my social life at this time revolved around people from YTY.
Stapled into the diary for the third or fourth week in January '85 is a letter from you all about Chris. There's some stuff in the latest diary entries about you and Chris too, but I edited it out - not my story to tell.
I wonder what they're all up to now?
I did try to look Chris up once on Friends Reunited, but there was nothing. He was so lovely. He was tall for his age and cuddly and smelt good.
I am so glad that you kept your diary. I threw mine out.
